Abigail Cantor performs on clarinet, saxophone, and recorder in The Cantor Set. She is a product of a musical family, public school band, Interlochen Arts Academy, pit bands at regional theatres (American Players Theatre, Madison Repertory Theatre, and Fireside Theatre), and the party and bar band circuits.
She performs in various musical styles and groups -- jazz with The Cantor Set, folk with SHIRA, classical with Classical Musings, and oldies rock and roll with The Relics.
Abigail is privileged to perform with some of Madison’s best jazz and blues musicians. The core group of The Cantor Set consists of three musicians with Abigail on reeds, Dennis Lynch on keyboard, and Tony Mazzara on drums. At times, other Madison greats, who have had a past history of performing with Abigail, join in for a quartet or qunitet.
